Project Description
Belmar, New Jersey has taken dynamic steps to move towards a comprehensive redevelopment of its downtown. As a waterfront site situated at the northern gateway into town, 5th Ave Wharf emerged as one of the key projects in the transformation of Belmar. The project includes retail, residential, and office components in a 'fisherman's village' type atmosphere. Next to one of the most exclusive residential developments in Belmar, the Inlet Terraces, 5th Ave Wharf also includes a brand new Marina with direct access to the ocean and a boardwalk allowing for an active pedestrian walkway.
Newwork is the Architect and Landscape Architect for the project. Newwork also completed initial Branding as a part of the preliminary marketing program. Central to Newwork's concept for the design was the use of public space and integrating the eclectic seaport Victorian style of the area into a contemporary vernacular. The project is currently in the Site Plan approvals stage and Newwork has teamed with an Architect of Record to execute Construction Documents.
