Emirates Investments Group was interested in exploring potential options for a Mixed-Use Resort development on a 5 Million SQ M site located in the center of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Currently the traditional boundaries which define Mecca's core are expanding, and this site would capitalize on that expansion. This Wellbeing Community will integrate world-class healthcare with high-end resorts and lifestyle retail, in an unprecedented residential environment designed to foster new approaches to healthy, spiritual, and sustainable living. The market for this kind of development is visitors primarily who come to Mecca for brief or extended stays, and some local residents.
Newwork was hired to do initial Concept Plan, Feasibility Study and Master Plan for the site. For the Feasibility Study, Newwork did a preliminary market and cost analysis, a scaled land use plan and a refined program. For the Master Plan, Newwork created a Vision Plan that included Plans, Elevations, Renderings and Models that clearly demonstrated and marketed the project. An Implementation Plan was developed which included a Final Program, a Phasing Plan, Cost Summary and Financial Analysis/Proforma that demonstrated a financially viable development. Newwork delivered a feasibility booklet, presentation boards, and a promotional DVD that included an initial brand identity for the development.
